The Potter's House - "Making it Marion, making it sweeter!"
You may have seen these billboards the past few months and wondered, as I did, what does that mean???? Finally, we know! The Potter's House is a new business in town, serving hand dipped ice cream and South Bend Chocolates. It is located on the Bypass in Marion right next to Tree of Life (between Meijer and Walmart on the Bypass - 3700 S. Western Ave.), and it is OPEN! Personally, I'm quite excited to have a new place to go on a date with my husband, and who doesn't love chocolate?

Did you know there is a new bookstore/cafe in town? Works Cited opened up early August in downtown Marion. Part used bookstore/part cafe, this locally owned new business is on Adams Street, and features a few other local small business owners (such as a photographer) out of their location. They have a fun kids area, and are starting a kids "story time" at 3pm on Saturdays in their kids area. They offer locally roasted Midwest Coffee Roasters coffee, so call a friend, take your kids, and have a cup of coffee!

You may know about Midwest Coffee Roasters (a local Coffee Roasting company), and even have had their coffee, but did you know they are opening up a storefront? I'm very excited about this place, scheduled to have a "soft opening" Thanksgiving weekend. Located on Spencer Ave., right near the Bypass in Marion, their store will be part coffee roaster/part coffee shop, with WiFi for customers. I LOVE COFFEE shops and can't wait for this place to open!
The owners/roasters/developers of Midwest Coffee Company are friends of mine! Their coffee is really good, and I am excited for their new place too! :D
