FREE Movie Mondays all Summer in at the Eagles Theatre in Wabash

Have you been to the Eagles Theatre in Wabash?  On Mondays during the summer they show FREE family movies!  Grab your kiddos for an afternoon out of the heat!  Movies are free, and if you want to get popcorn it is only $1 for a kids-size.  We've done these in summers past, and they are crowded, so make sure to get there early to get a seat!  And, I recommend going across the street either before or after the movie for a treat at the Charlie Creek Inn's candy/ice cream shop.  Very fun & quaint!

For more info, go to: http://www.eaglestheatre.com/free-movie-mondays-2013/

College Wesleyan Vacation Bible School - June 17th - 21st (9am - noon)

Vacation Bible School

We have a special program this summer for your children. Instead of doing Summer’s Cool, the church has decided to do a Vacation Bible School program called Kingdom Rock. It will be for those children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade this year. Our desire is to reach out to the spiritual needs of the kids in our church and local community.

College Wesleyan's VBS is next week.  If you have a kiddo Kindergarten - 4th Grade, you can register them online at: http://www.collegewes.com/vbs

"At Kingdom Rock, kids will discover how to stand strong for God! They will be learning all about various Bible characters and the strength they showed when doing what God called them to do. There will be team-building games, cool Bible songs, theater shows, science experiments, tasty treats, and more. We would love to have your kids be a part of this great, FREE, event! Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little messy. (Be sure to send them in play clothes and safe shoes). Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life – something we call God Sightings. Get ready to hear that phrase a lot!
Your kids will also participate in a hands-on mission project, through a program called Operation Kid-to-Kid, that will let the kids in our community show God’s love to children in India. Parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to join us in the “Royal Courtyard” section each day in the sanctuary because that’s when we’ll be having Fanfare Finale – a daily celebration of God’s love you won’t want to miss."

KINGDOM ROCK IS FOR CHILDREN KINDERGARTEN - FOURTH GRADE

Be sure to join us for a great time; June  17-21 9:00-noon

DIG Into Reading: Summer Reading Program at the Library

OverdriveThe summer reading program at the Marion Public Library starts this week: Monday, June 3 - Saturday, July 27.  The program is for preschoolers through 8th graders, and is a great activity for kiddos.  In addition to reading incentives (little gifts like Frosty's from Wendy's, stickers, Culver's cones, etc.) built into each week of the summer, each month there are activities/programs at the library, from Musicians to Magicians to Recycling classes to a Scientist and even a Civic Theatre musical (Oliver).  At the end of the summer they have a completion party and even give away a couple of bikes.

To sign up for the summer reading program and to get all the info, stop by the library this week!  In addition to a kids program, they also have a reading program for TEENS and ADULTS.  I can never say it enough - Marion is SO fortunate to have such a great library - if you haven't been taking advantage of it, you SHOULD!
